Riverside bowlers were also busy at the lanes, opening the season against Fairbanks in an away match.

Varsity boys lost 1,707-1,554.

Pacing the team was Hunter Russell with a 347 series, also Spencer Hughes had a 271 series and Kaleb Mescher had a 145 game.

Varsity girls lost 1,451-1,314.

Bridgette Helmlinger had a 178 game and 221 series and Mereana Steely had 227 series.

JV girls also lost 1,299-1,013.

Kaylyn Wren had 198 series, Mya Hurley tossed a 184 series, and Anika Kean added a 178 series.

The Pirates are back in action Tuesday at Greenon.
