Longtime county employee collapses at work, dies moments later

Liz ParkerA longtime county employee collapsed at work Tuesday around noon, then passed away several minutes later.

Liz Parker, 53, of Rushsylvania, was a victim advocate at the Logan County Prosecutor’s Office.

Bellefontaine Fire and EMS, Robinaugh EMS, and Bellefontaine Police responded to the Colonial Building, 117 East Columbus Avenue.

Prosecutor Eric Stewart said, “It is with the deepest sorrow we announce the passing of Liz Parker.

“Liz was dedicated to helping others, especially those suffering from domestic violence.

“Liz would respond to calls for help in the middle of the night to provide assistance to those in need. She tirelessly helped victims and witnesses through the court process.

“She will be sorely missed by us and our hearts go out to her family and loved ones.”

Parker previously worked at Logan County Family Court.

The cause of death remains under investigation.
