"You better watch out, you better not cry, Better not pout."

Are you ready Bellefontaine?

The big man will be paying his annual early-season visit to the Peak of Ohio as part of the 5th annual Citizens Federal Savings and Loan Hometown Christmas Parade Friday night.

Santa Claus will will participate in the parade beginning at 6 o'clock. Afterwards he will be available to all the good boys and girls at the Holland Theatre.

In preparation for the event the downtown streets inside the US 68 bypass will be closed at 3 pm and remain closed until 8:30 pm.

The parade will begin at the corner of Colton Avenue and Main Street. The route will go north up Main Street through downtown and disperse at the Citizens Federal Savings & Loan drive thru parking lot.

The parade will feature roughly 40 entrants ranging from high school bands, scouts, local businesses, and emergency services.

The parade will be broadcast live on 98.3 WPKO as Chad Wilkinson and Terry Lash will provide the commentary.

Other events will take place in downtown following the parade. Those events include carriage rides, a petting zoo, a movie at the Holland, reindeer viewing, food vendors, and musical entertainment.

The Citizens Federal Savings & Loan Hometown Christmas Event is hosted by the Downtown Bellefontaine Partnership.

After Friday's festivities, Santa Claus will return to Bellefontaine during his Christmas Eve trip around the world.
